Like its namesake, this light flickers between beauty and disappearance.

There is a need to define modern luxury. We often confuse that which is opulent with that which should be considered true luxury. Opulence is an overpowering force that exist no matter what environment it is placed in or any greater context. Luxury, should be defined by the individual and in highly subjected to context. The intent of some objects demand consideration from both points of view. Lush + Utility

That which accelerates us metaphorically and literally excites us emotionally and spiritually - when the motivation is manmade the effect tends to be heightened. Some objects become extensions of humanity. In the future maybe we will evolve to become faster creatures, but for now speed is crafted from steel, rubber and flame.

An object never holding one constant form contains the desire to be alive. This fantasy exist in our imaginations and sometimes in the energy of certain natural, repurposed materials.
The collision of fine and rare materials seen in Christine Brandt’s jewelry heighten the drama that is naturally contained in the materials themselves. The combination of seemingly amorphic, hand crafted forms with naturally occurring crystals and gems borders the realm of fantasy.
Nature creates complexity while man creates complications. The illusion that there is a relationship between complexity and that which is complicated is something that exist only in the human brain - complexity in nature is nonexistent, only man comprehends that which is complicated.
